No safe bullet catch- Pop song & object, Der Bogen im Auge (Group show), KIT, Düsseldorf, 2022

For the group show Der Bogen im Auge, I developed a pop song, that was played periodically during the exhibition time. The title of the pop song (No safe bullet catch) is a direct translation of the German term Kein sicherer Kugelfang, which comes from the terminology of hunting, meaning there is no safe place to catch a bullet. This term serves as an overarching symbol inside a pop musical landscape, connecting commercialized emotion with the "wild". The underground, long, tube like shape of the space of KIT, carries in itself the notion of a shooting range, filled with paintings as potential targets. Alongside the song is a sculptural object that holds the song cover within its glas element.

No safe bullet catch, song text

My mind is pulsing over me
Thundering over me
Cold feel of neglectic steel
Tumblin over me

My mind is craving what it sees
Ruling over me
Im giving it all to fate
Past insanity

I dont care how far away the planets are
Trying to expand to infinity
But for the universe im just one of many stars
Just one of many stars

No save bullet catch

My mind is running over me

Takin a fast turn
A gradual increase
A crescendo i believe

I See the eyes in the unknown

pulsing over me

Cold feel over watch

Close to bullet catch

I dont care how far away the planets are

Trying to expand

I See the eyes in the unknown                                     my mind I pulsing over me

No safe bullet catch
