My artistic practice explores the tension between the motif of a wilderness alienated from humanity and the tropes of our society such as pop-cultural music, manifesting through a diverse range of mediums, from painting and sculpture to site-specific installations, videos and performances.
The tragic-naïve attempt to get close to a hidden mysticism in nature by looking through a pop cultural lens is a decisive motif and symbol for me, which is being reflected in my work.
Moving fluidly between material, music, and performance, I investigate a space where the
boundaries between performance, concert and installation are being tested, provoking a
bewilderment of my created pop music, edging with the environment it is being exposed to and at the same time disqualifying for being actual pop culture.
